We like to explore our lovely planet, and we've learned that you don't have to go very far at all to find a little piece of heaven. Here's one spot that's a particular favorite of ours; their web site is really informative.

The Sierras are a pretty big place; you can walk just a little bit and have all the solitude you need or you can really 'locomote' and see some pretty amazing places.

And don't forget; the Ranger Stations in many California cities will help you with maps, plans, permits, etc.
